In their book, Worlds Apart: A Handbook on Worldview, Geisler and Watkin define Theism as "There is one God who created all," a straightforward definition I am adopting to approach our current sermon series, "You Got Me All Wrong."
In a time when it appears as though each person ought to have the right to their own perception of truth, the Church of all places ought to be holding on to truth as it is put forth in Scripture, whether or not in doing so aligns with our personal feelings, desires, or level of comfort with the world.
Sunday's sermon will focus on understanding a Christian worldview and the importance of developing a Christian worldview to navigate life as God has intended. There certainly is not enough time, or attention span, on Sunday to tackle such a large conversation; therefore, our website blog will offer snippets of information on extra-biblical information for each of us to consider should we wish to dig deeper.
Below, you will find "References" for sources I will be using this Sunday to best define terms and illustrate the ideas behind a "Christian Worldview." My hope is that we may come away from the series better equipped to "take every thought captive" and in doing so, be best prepared to live in obedience to the truth found in Scripture; 2 Corinthians 10:5, NASB.
